Ahlström Collective Impact increases its support for UNICEF🌍 Suominen is proud to be part of Ahlström Collective Impact and its long-term partnership with UNICEF Finland. By increasing our joint contribution to UNICEF’s Global Education Fund, we support children’s access to education worldwide — this year with a combined annual donation of €850,000. Strengthening children’s rights and education requires long-term commitment and collaboration. Together, we can create meaningful impact.💙
We increase our support for UNICEF 👫🌍👫 Our long-term collaboration with UNICEF Finland continues as we increase our contribution to UNICEF’s Global Education Fund, supporting children’s education worldwide. This year, our combined donation amounts to €850,000. Annina Tanhuanpää, Executive Director of UNICEF Finland, says: “Learning outcomes remain a major concern globally, particularly in low- and middle-income countries where many children lack basic literacy skills. Access to quality education and digital learning tools is still uneven. At the same time, international development aid for organisations such as UNICEF has declined significantly in recent years amid increasing needs for support due to geopolitical challenges. Bridging this gap requires stronger private sector engagement – making partnerships like Ahlström Collective Impact increasingly important.” Nelli Paasikivi-Ahlström, Chair of Ahlström Collective Impact, continues: “Our ambition is to lead the way in integrating a Child Lens into business and investment decisions. For our members, promoting and protecting children’s rights is not just about responsibility — it’s how we want to do business. Through our collaboration with UNICEF Finland, we contribute to building a better future for every child. I would like to sincerely thank all Ahlström Collective Impact members for their continued commitment and support.” 🔗Read the full press release: https://lnkd.in/ewJVAghA A. We were pleased to welcome Finland's Minister of Employment, Matias Marttinen, to Suominen's Nakkila plant this week. During the visit, we introduced our operations and discussed current topics with the Minister and local stakeholders. The programme also included a tour of the production facilities, offering a closer look at how we manufacture innovative and sustainable nonwovens.
