Through the ITE Work-Study Diploma Programme, we welcome six students from Institute of Technical Education College West and Institute of Technical Education College East, specialising in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Systems Engineering. In the next two and a half years with us, they will gain hands-on experience and real-world exposure while contributing to the operations and maintenance of the electricity and gas networks that power Singapore’s households, businesses and everyday activities. Did you know? By 2035, Southeast Asia is expected to account for 25% of global energy demand growth. Yet many buildings that rely on their own chiller plants may use far more energy than necessary. At Tampines Central in Singapore, a distributed district cooling system connecting 7 buildings is highlighting how a shared cooling network can be more energy-efficient. The result: ✅ 1,000 tonnes of carbon emissions reduced annually, equivalent to removing 910 cars off our roads ✅ 2.3GWh of energy savings a year, which can power more than 710 three-room HDB households for a year At SP Group, we partner with building owners to deliver highly efficient cooling solutions, helping businesses become more energy-efficient and sustainable. As a portfolio company of Temasek, we welcomed the opportunity to share about our commitment to ensuring safe and reliable electricity supply to power everyday activities and businesses island-wide. Discussions also focused on the future of Singapore’s grid and its role in enabling the nation’s long-term growth and energy transition. Leveraging digital technologies, AI, advanced analytics and sustainable solutions, we are building new capabilities to meet evolving energy needs. Strategies for talent development and workforce transformation are key priorities. We remain committed to supporting progress and advancement through a reliable, resilient and future-ready grid for generations to come.

At last week's 5th Asia Urban Energy Assembly in Bangkok, SP Group Thailand's Deputy Managing Director Kittipong Sae-Heng shared how deploying district cooling solutions in urban developments can accelerate Asia's energy transition.   Over two panel sessions, he highlighted the impact of SP's district cooling projects in Southeast Asia, including Singapore's Marina Bay and Thailand's Government Complex Center Zone C. These energy-efficient systems have helped building owners achieve 15 to 20 per cent of savings in cooling-related energy consumption, leading to reduced carbon emissions.   With Thailand's net-zero target revised to 2050, connecting buildings – especially older ones – to a sustainable district cooling system can enable the country's green transformation at scale. We welcome ChargEco to the SP Mobility family. SP Mobility, part of SP Group, has completed the acquisition of ChargEco. With more than 1,000 charging points added, SP Mobility now operates Singapore’s largest EV charging network, as well as the country’s largest fast-charging network. This expanded footprint also strengthens residential coverage, with many ChargEco sites located in HDB carparks across the East and Central regions of Singapore. As EV adoption grows, SP Mobility will continue to provide greater charging coverage, fast charging infrastructure and digital features such as cross-border charging. We will also explore more opportunities to bring together complementary networks and capabilities, to scale our network. These efforts support a more accessible, reliable and convenient charging experience for drivers. As energy systems become more interconnected and the transition to low-carbon electricity accelerates, collaboration among power utilities is becoming increasingly important. At the Global South Power Partnership Development Forum in Hong Kong on 26 June, our Chief Corporate Officer Jeanne Cheng joined energy leaders from around the world to discuss the future of low-carbon power systems. Drawing on SP Group's experience as Singapore's national grid operator, Jeanne shared perspectives on how integrated energy solutions, battery energy storage, digitalisation and regional collaboration can strengthen grid resilience while supporting decarbonisation. She also highlighted practical, scalable solutions that are helping customers and cities across Asia become more energy efficient.
