⚙️ The successful installation of Mitsubishi Power's M701F #gasturbine marks another important milestone for the 500MW Miri Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plant in #Sarawak. We were honored to join Petroleum Sarawak Berhad, Sinohydro and our valued partners at the Gas Turbine On-Base Ceremony to celebrate this achievement — a reflection of the team’s dedication toward excellence and safety throughout the project. We deeply value the close cooperation and professionalism of our partners, and look forward to advancing reliable and efficient power for Sarawak's continued growth and long-term energy transition!

👏 In our recent townhall, colleagues from our branch offices came together to reflect on key achievements, celebrate milestones, and hear updates from across the business. From Engineering and Marketing to Power Plant Services and QHES, the session highlighted the collective effort behind our progress and reinforced the shared purpose that connects us across markets and functions. 🎉 We are pleased to announce a new Long-Term Parts and Services Agreement with LNGPH and South Premiere Power Corporation for the Ilihan Combined Cycle Power Plant in Batangas, #Philippines. This is the latest milestone in our contribution to Ilihan, where we installed gas turbines more than two decades ago in 2002.   With this agreement, we will help ensure the continued efficiency and performance of one of Luzon's most critical power generation facilities. ⚡Rising electricity demand has made energy resilience a priority for countries in #SoutheastAsia. In an interview with Astro AWANI, our APAC Managing Director & CEO Akihiro Ondo shares how different markets in the region have addressed this shift – from digitalization pushing #Singapore to invest in capacity growth, to new energy projects being built powering economic growth in #Vietnam.   In #Malaysia, #naturalgas remains critical in delivering baseload power amid a #datacenter boom, particularly in the state of Johor. As electricity demand rises in #Malaysia, early planning is critical to future-proofing power systems and ensuring energy infrastructure is available when needed. Through a new Reservation Agreement, TNB Genco has secured six of our JAC #gasturbines and generators to support forthcoming power developments in the country. These hydrogen-ready technologies will also add up to 4.2GW capacity to the national grid. 💪 By taking these steps today, we are helping build a more resilient energy system tomorrow.

As #Malaysia advances its energy journey, rising electricity demand from economic development and increasing #datacenter capacity reinforces the need for practical pathways that balance supply stability with #decarbonization. These themes were at the forefront of Tenaga Nasional Berhad’s Energy Transition Conference 2026 last week. Our global Executive Vice President Daichi Nakajima took the stage to present on the technologies driving real-world impact, including #gasturbines, #hydrogen, and carbon capture. We were also pleased to welcome YAB Dato' Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, to our lounge, which served as a space for industry stakeholders to connect and exchange perspectives throughout the conference. We were proud to be a Platinum Partner at the event, meeting policymakers and industry leaders to uncover solutions to help address today's energy needs while creating flexibility for lower-carbon fuels and technologies in the future. 📸Check out our activities at #ETCon26 below.

⚡The latest edition of Energy Forward with Mitsubishi Power energized conversations in #Malaysia, bringing together policymakers, power producers, utilities, and industry partners to chart the future of the country's energy sector.   📈 Opening the event, our global Executive Vice President Daichi Nakajima traced our history in the market and our continued role in expanding gas power in Malaysia, as economic growth and expanding data center infrastructure push electricity demand.   🤝 Remarks from His Excellency Noriyuki Shikata, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Malaysia; Dato' Ir. Muhamad Nazri Pazil Bin Pazil, Senior Chief Strategy, Regulatory and Sustainability Officer at Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB); and Syahrunizam Samsudin, President of the Association of Independent Power Producers (Penjana Bebas), collectively reinforced the importance of cross-sector and cross-border cooperation in driving the energy transition.   🌏 Dr. Frederick Kliem, Director Southeast Asia, Economist Corporate Network at The Economist then presented on the geopolitical trends informing economic and energy developments in #SoutheastAsia and was followed by our APAC Executive Vice President for Engineering Takashi Kishine, who shared the latest updates to our #gasturbine R&D.   💡 The focal point of the event was a panel discussion on the role of reliable baseload power in supporting Malaysia's growth ambitions. Now in its 15th year, the annual O&M Collaboration Seminar once again convened energy sector leaders in #Indonesia to share best practices and discuss trends around #powerplant operation and maintenance. This year’s edition in Surabaya drew the highest number of participants to date – 172 engineers and executives – and delved into the need for robust maintenance strategies to drive up the efficiency and performance of thermal power plants. Nobuhiro Kawai, President Director of Mitsubishi Power Indonesia, took the stage with PT PLN (Persero)'s Daniel Eliawardhana, PLN Indonesia Power’s Budhi Setiawan, as well as PT PLN Nusantara Power’s Hery Artady and Andi Setyawan to explore the role of thermal power in Indonesia’s transition and growth. Mr. Kawai spoke about how legacy thermal assets remain important in maintaining energy security and affordability, especially as electricity demand continues to rise with economic development and the #datacenter boom. 15 years on, the O&M Collaboration Seminar stands as testament to the commitment to learning and innovation within Indonesia’s energy sector.
