Historically, cargo transit within Taiwan's science parks relied on physical, paper-based customs clearance. Warehouse staff had to attach physical packing lists to every shipment, which customs brokers then manually submitted to Customs the next month. To streamline this process, TSMC partnered with the Customs Administration (Ministry of Finance) and the Science Park Bureau to advocate for amending the "Regulations Governing the Bonding Operations in Science Parks." After three years of dedicated collaboration, this initiative officially eliminated the need for physical paperwork, pioneering a fully digital clearance framework. In collaboration with our suppliers, this new framework delivers meaningful impact across three pillars: ✅ For the Planet: Eliminates 1.77 million sheets of paper annually through fully paperless customs. ✅ For the People: Saves 1,700 operational hours for warehouse staff by removing manual paperwork, and 1,800 hours for partners by using real-time tracking to instantly resolve cargo damage liability. ✅ For the Industry: Extends these automated workflows to benefit over 1,200 bonded operators nationwide. At TSMC, we believe digital transformation is key to driving both supply chain sustainability and operational efficiency. 🔗 Click the link to learn more! https://lnkd.in/ey5geiNt #TSMC #Sustainability #DigitalTransformation #SmartLogistics #GreenSupplyChain #ESG
